From the Pastor’s Desk:

Friend I want to thank you for visiting Lighthouse Gospel Ministries on the web. These are exciting times; expectancy is in the atmosphere and we are poised
be a positive impact on the community in which we serve, both locally and globally. You are invited to join us in our house of worship at 1345 McDonough Parkway for a powerful fellowship, preaching, teaching, singing, and worship. In October 2007 we will celebrate 7 years of ministry in McDonough. In honor of the seventh year we continued in the temple for seven days of service in the seventh month in this seventh year and ending on July 7, 2007 (777).

Our web development team recently designed this beautiful site and the media ministry has made it possible for you to now view the services on cable TV. The Lord has added to our number and the church is growing, the fruit is evident every time you enter the sanctuary you can feel it, you can see, and you can hear it. The youth are excited and maturing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior. All who enter agree by the Holy Ghost that God is in this place.

At LGM we are about our father’s business. In the Great Commission as recorded by Luke ‘repentance and remission of sin is to be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem’. The history book of the New Testament (Acts) records the fulfillment of this commission which was to be carried on by those whom the apostles of the Lamb would teach. In Acts 2:5 it reads, “And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.” In verse 38 we find the disciples doing what was commanded by the Lord (baptizing in the name of Jesus Christ).

In Matthew 28:19-20 it reads ”Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” In Mark 16:15-16 it reads ”And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”  In Luke 24:45 it reads ”Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures”. My prayer is that today Jesus will open your understanding and fill you with all the wisdom pertaining to his holiness and righteousness. May God bless you and your family.
